Building a Chumash Indian Ap
A native Chumash Ap is traditionally made of willow branches, but our local Museum requested it built of rebar for durability and longevity. My fellow scouts and I built a 22' diameter /13' center height "Council Ap." We harvested tule reeds from a local lake, welded the rebar frame and installed the tule reeds on to the frame. It looks awesome! We're really proud of our Troop 754 legacy, in Westlake Village, CA.
