Tom Tobolski, born August 18, 1985, has been in Scouting starting as a Tiger Cub in 1992 with Pack 75 in Manhattan, KS. Tom was awarded the Arrow of Light on May 16, 1996. He also received the Parvuli Dei, religious award that same year. Tom joined Troop 284 in May, 1996 and has been involved with the troop, even now as an adult leader. Tom served many roles in the troop: Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Chaplain, Historian, and Quartermaster. He attended camp every summer, with his favorites being Ben Del A Tour and Lewis and Clark. He was awarded the Golden Eagle - Kit Fox and Brave for summer camp. Tom also earned the World Conservation Badge. In April, 2003 Tom was inducted into the Order of the Arrow. Tom received his Eagle Rank in September,2003. His Eagle Scout project was building new stairs for the emergency exit at the College Methodist Church. Tom is not only involved in Scouting. Tom has competed in Special Olympics: Basketball, Track, Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball since the year 2000. He was selected to attend the Kansas Youth Leadership Forum in the summer of 2003. He is a member of the National Honor Society. Tom also has perfect attendance at Manhattan High School for the 10th., 11th., and 12th. grade. He is also working at the Kansas State University Student Union.
