3 regular size cans of any kind of beans (pork & beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, lima beans, ect.), 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 can (16 oz.) whole peeled tomatoes, 1 onion, 1 red and 1 green pepper, 2 tbs brown sugar, chili powder to taste.

brown ground beef, add chopped peppers and onion, saute until soft, add remaining ingredience and allow to reduce slightly until desired thickness. Adjust taste by adding additional chili powder to taste. Add additional heat by adding red pepper flakes to taste. Serve with chrusty bread.
CommentThis is a very simple chili to make and is very high in protien. It is very easy to carry in and carry out and involves only minimal utensils. It will easily feed a patrol of 8.
