Peach & Blackberry Bread Pudding Recipe



Dutch Oven Peach & Blackberry Bread Pudding
1 Loaf of Sliced Bread
1 Stick of Butter ( Melted)
2 1/2 Cups of Eggs (Egg Beaters will work)
5 Cups of Milk
2 Cups of Sugar (can mix white and brown Sugars)
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
2 Cups of Frozen Peaches
2 Cups Frozen Blackberries
1/4 Cup of Lime or Lemon Juice
Cinnamon Sugar (to taste)


12” Dutch Oven (Line with parchment paper for easy clean up)


Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter to Dutch Oven
Gently break bread slices into quarters, Careful not to mash bread.
Lay pieces of bread flat in Dutch Oven, build 2 layers of bread
Drizzle half of melted butter over bread layers
Lay 1/2 of Peaches and Blackberries over Bread Layers
Add more layers of bread to approx.. 3/4 level of the Dutch Oven
Drizzle remaining melted butter over bread layers
Mix Eggs, Milk, Sugar, Vanilla and beat till blended and sugar is desolved
Pour mix over bread layers, gently push bread down to cover all bread pieces
Lay remaining Peaches and Blackberries over top of bread and custard mix
Sprinkle with Cinnamon Sugar
Bake for 1 Hour at 350 Degrees (8 coal rig on bottom and 16 coals on top)
Give it a quick peek after 30 minutes and then every 15 minutes after that. When done, the bread pudding will be puffed up and springy to touch.
