Ingredients
2 Large eggs, 2 cups milk, ΒΌ cup vegetable oil, 2 cups all purpose flour, 2 Tbsp sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 2 Tbsp vanilla, syrup.
Equipment
large bowl, griddle, large spoon, spatchula
Instructions
Mix all the incrediants together, stir and add more milk as needed to meet the consistancy you like. Place one large spoonful of batter per pan cake on hot griddle.
CommentThese pan cakes formerly known as flap johns can be cooked over an open fire or on a camp stove. This is the same basic recipe used by the pioneers and emigrants on the wagon trains. They are much better than boxed pan cakes.
