Service Project Description
The Yellow Trail in IH Park Lakeland crossed two dry drainages ditches. There was no vegitation where the trail met the dry streams and the trail was very slippery there. Two 8" PVC drainage pipes were laid in the ditch and put into place with bricks and morter. A pair of rail road ties was placed over the drain pipes but supported by the bricks. The center area was willed with crushed lime stone. The rail road ties were held in place by 6 ft long 3/4 inch galvanized pipe driven into the ground on the outside of the bridges. The bridges are alsi now used by bycycle traffic and foot races. No more slippery slopes. 120 MH, cost $ 600 mostly for gracel.
