Public Lean-To
Service Project

Service Project Description

I built a Lean-To in the Pittstown State Forest. I didn't have the proper traning and license to operate a chainsaw, so I had a NYS DEC Forest Ranger cut down trees. We (Troop and Ranger) Chiseled out the lay of the log and made the logs fit nice. We also had a fence for the chainsaw that ran along side the log to make boards for the floor. So the entire thing was made out of the logs cut down from the Lean-To area. It looks real nice but the only problem I had was paperwork needing approval from both State and BSA it took a whole month just for the approval.
