Service Project Description
In July of 2006 I collected unwanted computer equipment for recycling with the Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit "Reconnect" program. Flyers were distributed to the community and notices placed in my Troop's sponsoring organization newsletter for 3 weeks before the collection day. I planned a one day event, but people who were unavailable on that day brought their equipment to my home. Altogether over 3.75 Tons of unwanted computer equipment was collected.
