Service Project Description
I put in walkways to three pavillions in the park that were difficult to reach due to the rough terrain and/or muddy soil. We cut trenches 9" deep and 5' wide then laid 6" of sand and 6" of fiberglass reinforced concrete. The walks had a 'fall' from left to right of 1.5" to allow for water runoff. I made approches to the walks with crushed concrete starting about 3' out from the walk. Then we tapered the sides with compost and soil. Then we seeded the areas around the walks and pavillions. The lengths of the walks were 60', 55' and 30'.
