Service Project Description
The Star of India is the oldest operating sailing ship in the world (According to the "Guinness Book of World Records") . The Restoration included the tween deck (below the top) and the bilge (bottom compartment of the ship). 20-Grit sand paper, designed to sand titanium, was used to sand down the old paint to reveal the wood underneath. The bilge was cleaned and organized to create more room for storage of random items.
