Blanket drive for no-kill shelters
Service Project

Service Project Description

This wasn't an eagle project, just a Pack project - we adopted our local animal shelter.
Boys collected blankets, comforters, sheets, etc for the shelter to use as bedding during the winter months.
They made flyers lising information about animal shelters, and caring for pets.
We also collected paper towels, dog biscuits and other usefull items.
When the boys delivered the blankets, they were able to spend time playing with and walking the dogs.
The boys learned a lot about our city animal laws, what happens to abandoned pets, and how to have a sucessful drive.

It was difficult to leave at the end of the trip, but all of the boys agreed the project was worth doing.
