Lieutenant Colonel Crews is currently the commander of Army Forces, Joint Task Force Bravo stationed at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. As Army Forces commander he exercises command and control, and provides administrative and logistical support to JTF-Bravo elements and other Army or joint operations conducted to enhance regional engagement and cooperative security in the Central American Joint Operations Area. LTC Crews enlisted in the Army in February 1981 as an Infantryman in the Illinois Army National Guard. He served in Alpha Company, 2/130th Infantry rising to the rank of sergeant. He was commissioned as a Regular Army, Infantry Second Lieutenant in 1984. In his twenty years of military service LTC Crews has participated in combat operations in the Persian Gulf and Somalia, humanitarian assistance operations in Cuba, nation building operations in Haiti, counterdrug operations in Latin America, deterrence operations in Southwest Asia, and peace enforcement operations in Bosnia.
