Bio / AccomplishmentsAt age 13, this asthmatic scout became an Eagle Scout against heavy odds, having hiked some of the most brutal trails in the midwest under the direction of his scoutmaster Ernest Carpenter. A member of Troop 42 of Knollwood, Ohio (Tecumseh Council, Shawnee District) Alex also attended the National Scout Jamboree in Pennsylvania and won a statewide essay contest that involved a trip to stay with his Congressman, Clarence Brown, in Washington, D.C. He was a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, was awarded "God and Country," and has both a Bronze and Silver palm on his Eagle badge.
