Served on the Ririe School Board for 13 years. Past President of the Ririe Lions Club. Served as Bishop of the Ririe 3rd Ward 1990-1995. Advisory Committee Member, Eastern Idaho Technical College (1992-1993). Father of an Eagle Scout and son of an Eagle Scout. Received the Master of Boardsmanship Award from the Idaho State School Boards Association.
