Indian Chief and Two Sons
| An Indian chief was watching his two sons practice with their bows and arrows. The older son was very strong and, when seeing his father was watching, shot an arrow over the trees with all his strength and out of sight. He was very proud of himself. The little son took his small bow and arrow and made a mark on a tree and hit the mark with his arrow from only a short distance away. The Chief came up and hugged the little son with enthusiasm and pride. The older son asked, "was I not stronger, father?" The Chief said, "Yes, but your little brother set a goal and hit his mark. This is the most important task in life." |
