CommentFit a cordless drill with a oversize bolt/nut/washer "bit"(about the diameter of the wheel) with a standard garden hose o-ring glued to it. Getting the wheels freely spinning is critical.
Use this before and on race day to spin the wheels with simple friction. Just loosely hold the o-ring to the side of the wheel pulse the drill. This maximizes the lube on the axles and wheels, right up to race time.
