CommentNothing is worse than losing a wheel during the Pinewood Derby Race.
Once you have the axles perfectly straight in the car (There was another tip someone submitted on getting the axles straight), glue them in place. I use superglue, but any glue would work fine. It just needs to provide enough holding power to resist the vibration and occasional rough-handling at the Pinewood Derby event.
WARNING - make sure you DO NOT GET GLUE BY THE WHEELS! If the wheel is accidentally glued to the axle I imagine it would be like driving around with your emergency brake on...
