CommentAfter sanding and polishing the axle, microfinish the surface with car polish. chuck up the axle and wheel assembly in the drill press and on the slowest speed add graphite to the car side of the wheel. stop the wheel and then let it spin for a bit. This imbeds the graphite ever so slightly into the plastic and wax which retains it longer. Then watch the car on the last 6ft of the track accelerate away from the competition.
