When I was a Cub Leader for the Holy Angels (12th St Thomas Ontario Canada Pack) I had cubs from various immigrant families. I wanted a song that would be easy to learn in different languages. I sent a note home with the boys, and soon we had several versions. The boys loved to sing this and we became tha talk of the town -- we were invited to sing OUR SONG. That was way back in the 50's
